For people who like coffee but want to try out poetry. ☕🖊️
Coffee and Poems Club is back for 2025. The idea is the same as before, you come and enjoy a coffee, hear some poems, and then we write some poems together. If 2025 is your year of trying out something new, this event is for you.
Poetry is always for the everyday, and there’s a misconception that poetry isn’t. People over complicate it and it sometimes feels inaccessible. We meet in a relaxed cafe and write poetry together. All exercises are perfect for beginners and there's no right way to make poetry. For our first event we will be at 92 Degrees on John Dalton Street. I've spent a few of my own writing sessions here and it's a wonderful spot.
The session will be hosted by Louis Glazzard at 92 Degrees. Louis Glazzard is a working class queer writer and coffee lover. His poems have been published nationally and he released his debut poetry collection Human Men in 2021. He started Coffee and Poems Club in 2024 when he realised he spent so much of his own time writing in cafes and wanted to offer a relaxed event for people to try out writing and connect.
Tickets for this event include a coffee at 92 Degrees. 92 Degrees are on a mission to unite everyone, everywhere through their love for coffee.
