We're back again at our favourite home The Two Brewers after our mini tour in 2024 and being invited to perform on stage at The Pink Singers concert alongside F*choir. Expect new songs, old classics and a shed load of fun.
This time we're supported by the queens and kings of the queer indiepop scene, Sassyhiya! This is a show not to missed.
About The Advantages:
The Advantages AKA Charly, Cilla and Nicki are a London based lesbian guitar, keyboard & vocal trio. Our eclectic musical tastes result in a mix of acoustic, singer-songwriter and pop music with several other styles thrown in for good measure. Expect upbeat tunes, singer / songwriter ballads and our trademark three-part harmony in songs about relationships, politics and having fun. Not heard us before? Listen here https://linktr.ee/theadvantagesband.
The Advantages have performed at the Two Brewers several times, including our ‘sell-out’ event where we performed to 150 in January 2024. We've also performed on the main stage at Waltham Forest Pride in 2022 and have supported The Barberfellas and The Bleeding Obvious. We also feature as backing vocalists on The Bleeding Obvious' single 'One Girl Girl'.

About Sassyhiya
Sassyhiya (pronounced “Sassy Hiya”) were formed when Helen and Kathy, real-life partners and co-songwriters, joined up with Pablo and Neil (drums and guitar). Helen had previously been in Boys Forever and Basic Plumbing, collaborating with much-missed Veronica Falls musician Patrick Doyle. She and Kathy then formed Barry, a stripped-down queercore outfit, with Bart McDonagh (The Male Gays) and Mark Amura (My Executive Dysfunction). Sassyhiya feels like a culmination of all these elements, hitting the sweet spot between post-punk and indie pop. They know their way around a melody but still keep it wonky, with influences ranging from the Breeders and Broadcast to Dolly Parton.
Sassyhiya released their album ‘Take You Somewhere’ on Skep Records in November 2024. More information about Sassyhiya here: https://linktr.ee/sassyhiya
