UK Poetry Slam Champion Tyrone Lewis teams up with Writer and Director Kayla Martell Feldman to bring you PROCESS, a monthly Spoken Word night featuring some of the most exciting acts across the scene.
New year, same chaos! Join us for the first event of 2025, including our regular open mic (sign up on the door, poets selected at random), headlined by Miss Yankey, with a feature set from Charlie Ridey.
Miss Yankey is a dynamic spoken word artist recognised for her captivating performances from London to New York. Recently named Best International Artist at the National Spoken Word Awards in Chicago, she has written and performed for TV, Radio, Theatre, Film, and music. A passionate advocate for women's rights, she founded Safe Spoken to enhance safeguarding in the poetry community and leads Poetry Prescribed, offering workshops for diverse audiences. Her work has graced iconic venues and BAFTA-winning shows, solidifying her impact in both art and activism.
Charlie Ridey is a Surrey-based spoken-word poet. His poetry often ends up being about identity, perspective, mental health, neurodiversity and how we relate to each other and to art. He usually gets there by talking about video games, digital cultures and communities, music and other artefacts or subcultures that he is unable to stop himself from thinking about. He also doesn't really know how to write third-person bios about himself, but he's working on it.
Doors: 6:30pm
