Join us for one or more of these five facilitated group walks for TNBI community members (18+). These will take place one Saturday each month, with a walk from 2pm for around 90 minutes (at a gentle pace, with breaks as needed), followed by around 30 minutes for a cup of tea for the group in a cafe near the end point of the walk.
- February 22nd: Brighton Marina (undercliff) to Rottingdean Village (wheelchair accessible)
- March 22nd: Black Rock to Hove Lagoon (wheelchair accessible)
- April 26th: Stanmer Park main gate to One Garden Cafe (wheelchair accessible path, the route slopes steadily uphill)
- May 24th: Brighton Cemeteries to East Brighton Park Cafe
- June 14th: Marine Gate (cliff top) to Rottingdean Village
Please note that full details of the meeting points, routes and finishing locations, with public transport suggestions, will be provided before each walk for those who have signed up.
All start and finish locations are easily accessible by bus. Bus tickets can be reimbursed if cost is a barrier to participation. Please email proof of purchase to august.reid@clareproject.org.uk.
These first three walks are more accessible for anyone who prefers to walk or wheel on firm path surfaces.
The two walks which involve a wider range of terrains and inclines are planned for May and June when the conditions are most likely to be drier and therefore less muddy.
All the routes include options for resting on benches and using public toilets.
The walks are inclusive of well-behaved dogs on leads.
The walks will be facilitated by August Reid (they/he), who is an experienced group facilitator, walk leader and qualified First Aider and Mental Health First Aider. If you have any questions, please contact august.reid@clareproject.org.uk.
