We are literally crushing valentines this year… and turning cupid's arrow into an aro. In support of Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week 2025, we will be getting together at The Glitch and running a small gift exchange.
This event is to give space to aromantic people wanting to find community with other aromantic people, to raise awareness for the week and to also just be a space where joy can be as simply as receiving a small pin or drawing from a stranger. Let's gift something we own and hold joy for to someone else as a way of connecting with our community.
Event details:
Where:
‘The Glitch’, 134 Lower Marsh, London SE1 7AE
When: 17th Feb 2025
Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm
The Glitch serves both hot and cold drinks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. If you would like a non-alcoholic version of one of their cocktails, please ask at the bar and they will be able to accommodate.
This event is for those aged 18 or over.
- Please note, this is NOT a private event, we will have the back of The Glitch and will close the curtain to give some separation between our event and the rest of the area. The event will finish at 9:30pm and we will no longer have the space. We are more than welcome to stay in other available areas inside The Glitch
- To pick an item, you must bring an item! It's an exchange :D
Tickets will sell out and there is limited venue capacity and we are only able to secure the back of the glitch so be sure to grab one now!
Aromantic Spectrum:
Aromanticism is a term used to describe someone who experiences little to no romantic attraction. The aromantic spectrum, simply represents the identities of people in the space between romantic and aromantic. Societal norms often place huge pressure on romantic gestures defining ones worth and for a lot of aromantic people this can make them question their worth, some may never experience what is like to have a crush or to fall in love or to want to go on dates (and this is not a definitive list) and to those who are reading this and experiencing this, we at ACESPACELDN want you to know that you are not weird or abnormal, in fact you are totally okay. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions <3
ACESPACELDN has zero tolerance towards discrimination of any kind including; ableism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ace-arophobia etc.
Step Free Accessibility:
On the ground level of The Glitch is step-free access and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Bathrooms are gender-neutral and contain wash basins.
Neurodivergent Accessibility:
We recommend, you bring earphones or headphones to help with noise sensitivities, as we are in a small space when we are all talking it may get loud.
Covid Accessibility:
This is a small inside venue space. We recommend that all attendees test before attending the event and where possible we encourage the use of masks if you are able to wear them.
Financial Accessibility:
For support with transport costs, please DM or email us before the event. For support with Covid tests or masks, please DM or email us before the event. No questions asked.
