Deptford Flower Market starts on Saturday 1 February 2025
A new creative, foodie and flower market in Deptford is opening on 1 February at Deptford Market Yard right next to Deptford rail station.
What: Saturdays from 1 February-End July | When: 9am-4pm | Where: Carriage Way, Deptford Market Yard, SE8 | Free entry - all welcome
The market is an inclusive celebration of everyday joy, colour and flowers. The Saturday market will be a friendly community and platform for creative makers and responsible buyers based off London’s best high street Deptford.
Every Saturday from 9am-4pm, a diverse and ever-changing range of stalls will be selling everything from flowers to LGBTQIA+ books. Stalls announced so far include radical queer bookshop The Common Press, tea maverick A Little Tea, irresistible blondies and brownies from Slate n Crumb and fun beary vintage from Bear107.
The market is run by 14 year life partners, London writers (todolist.london), and florists Ru & Stu with their sustainable flower works being showcased on an original 1960s milk float. They hope to provide a space for queer, local and underrepresented people to sell their wares in a safe space.
Inspired by nature, making things and celebrating our unique community, the market hopes to bring a slice of Columbia Road, Brick Lane and Chiswick Flower Market to Deptford’s already bustling Saturday markets.
If you’re after a bargain, Sundays will also be a boot sale, where anyone in the community can hawk their wares with Becca for just £10/space. Email us for more details.
