3000 Lesbians Go to York - London launch

In the first decade of this millenium, women flocked to York each autumn for the Libertas! and YLAF festivals: to hear their favourite authors and singers, to buy piles of lesbian books, and to dance till the clocks went back. Friendships and marriages were formed there, and identities forged.

Part oral history, part photo-album, this lavishly illustrated book captures the history of that sapphic idyll through interviews, memories and photographs. Join author Jane Traies and publisher Helen Sandler for the London launch of ‘Three Thousand Lesbians Go to York.’
