Queer Life Drawing Manchester

Friendly & Relaxed Queer Life Drawing Sessions in Manchester!

No experience is required — just bring your creativity!

What You’ll Receive:

Art Materials: Basic supplies provided, including a board to lean on, paper, charcoal, pencils, pens, crayons and more. Feel free to bring your own materials if preferred!
Nude Queer Models: Each session will feature a different queer model with poses ranging from 2 to 20 minutes.
Music: Each session has a playlist designed to relax your mind and inspire creativity.
Seating: There are a number of chairs available, as well as yoga mats and a beanbag!

Schedule:

Arrival: 6:30 PM - 6:40 PM
Session Start: 6:45 PM (prompt)
Session End: 7:45 PM
Optional Social: Stay until 8:00 PM for a relaxed look around everyone's work.

Session Breakdown:

Warm-up: Short 2/ 5 minute poses to warm up (6:45 PM - 6:55 PM)
First Half: Shorter poses ranging between 10 - 15 minutes each (6:55 PM - 7:20 PM)
Break: 5 minute break to stretch and choose new supplies (7:20 PM - 7:25 PM)
Second Half: We will just do one longer 20 minute pose in this half (7:25 PM - 7:45 PM)
Optional Social: Stay until 8:00 PM for a relaxed look around everyone's work (7:45 PM - 8:00 PM)

Meet Your Host: Ben Saunders (he/him)

Ben Saunders is a queer, trans masc illustrator and ceramicist based in Manchester. His work focuses on queer and trans bodies and he aims through his work to provide a space to encourage people to feel safe to express their sexuality and love for their body without fear of fetishization.

Ben has been running queer and trans specific life drawing sessions in Manchester for the last year in a range of venues and he always aims to prioritise creating a relaxing, welcoming and friendly queer safe space to allow you to take time for yourself in a friendly, supportive environment.
