Tiny Elephants, formed in 2007 by Linda McCarthy, is a studio producing stop-motion animation films. McCarthy is renowned for her expert ceramic craft in marionette puppetry and set making, she has four short films adapted from the cartoon strip Small Birds Singing by artist Steven Appleby.
Pete Bishop is a British film maker, animator and theatre set designer he is best known as the director of the Channel 4 animation series, Bromwell High, he is also the director of the ITV cartoon series Captain Star based on Appleby's comic Rockets Passing Overhead.
Join us at Space Station Sixty-Five gallery for a screening of specially curated animated shorts, followed by an informal conversation between Steven, Linda and Pete. This event is part of Nothing is Real, Appleby’s largest exhibition to date, showcasing 40+ years of his work as a cartoonist, illustrator, and graphic novelist.
The event starts at 7PM, but all guests are welcome to arrive at 6:30 PM to enjoy a complimentary drinks reception and explore the exhibition before the screening begins.
