Sara Madaluni (MrsLuna)
Sara Madaluni (MrsLuna) is an Italian jazz-fusion singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Having been immersed in jazz growing up, inspired largely by her father, she later attended the “Saint Louis College of Music” in Rome, where she studied vocal technique and music theory. She then moved to London two years ago and has already performed at the likes of Ronnie’s Scott, 91 Living Room, The Crypt, and Sofar Sound with her trio project. She’s also been working as a keyboardist for different artists and collectives like All Day Breakfast Café, Haüs of Dons, Marla Kether, Peng Femme Jam and more. Citing jazz artists such as Miles Davis, Billie Holiday and Esperanza Spalding as important in shaping her own music, she also sees broadway and pop artists such as Barbra Streisand as big sources of inspiration. Sara’s music is soulful, strong but fragile, honest, and fluid. She’s currently working on the release of her first EP entirely produced by women, due for release this year. As well as continuing to play live in London jazz hot spots she also advocates for promoting the accessibility of jazz.
