This class is a space to build your strength and mobility without the stress of a traditional gym. It's suitable for trans, non-binary and intersex adults of all ages. It's open to all levels of experience, but is designed to be especially welcoming for people who experience barriers to participation in exercise, such as people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, and older adults. You can wear whatever you are comfortable in and there is no need to bring anything.
- No loud music - just very gentle soundscapes to avoid awkward silences
- No bright lights - so you can relax
- No clanging weights or beeping machines - just a mat and space to move
- No need to memorise a circuit of moves - follow along as the moves are demonstrated and described
- No complicated vocabulary - you don't need to know what lunges or triceps are
- No mirrors - it's about how you feel not how you look
- No strong smells - the venue isn't a gym so there's no changing room smell
- No cliques - everyone is new, so feel free to hang around afterwards to rehydrate with free hot and cold soft drinks
