MSJI Presents: Wattan Potluck – An Inclusive Iftar for Global Majority / Muslim Young People (18-30)
This Ramadan, join The Muslim Social Justice Initiative (MSJI) for a special inclusive iftar centring the theme of wattan / homeland.
This potluck-style gathering invites you to bring a dish from your homeland to share in community — something that carries the taste of your roots. Feel free to come dressed in clothes that remind you of home, whether traditional attire or something that makes you feel connected to where you belong.
This is a space to break fast together, share food and stories, and reflect on what homeland means to us — whether it’s a place, a people, a memory, or something we carry within ourselves.
This iftar is a queer-inclusive, feminist, and anti-racist space.
📍 Contact Theatre, Oxford road, Manchester
📅 17:45, Friday 14th March
Please note that MSJI's first priority is always to safeguard the wellbeing of staff, volunteers, and participants. With this in mind, MSJI reserves the right to refuse or refund tickets at its discretion. Any decision to do so is not made lightly and will only ever be on the basis of safeguarding.
