Join director and choreographer Sarah Blanc as she brings a version of her popular choreographic toolbox workshop to Tramshed. In this two-hour dance theatre workshop, she will lead you through various creative tasks she uses to get her and her collaborators' ideas moving. You will leave the workshop feeling energized and ready to get going on your next project. This workshop is for disabled and non-disabled artists who would like to use movement, but don't know where to start, and for dance artists in their early-stage career looking to work in theatre!
Using Sarah's experience working with everyone from solo artists to large ensembles to creating solo work on herself, this workshop will cover:
- How movement can serve your process and create a whole other level of meaning.
- Starting to discover your own movement language and how to pull the authentic movements out of your collaborators.
