Youphoria Pétanque Taster
FREE
The Clare Project has been awarded funding from Sport England to run a series of free physical activity sessions for the TNBI community. These are aimed particularly at people who experience barriers to participation in exercise, such as people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, and older adults.
What to expect:
In this session, Brighton and Hove Pétanque Club will provide us with space on their “terrain” (playing area), lend us the equipment and introduce the basics, before leading us in a series of games. The session will be at a relaxed pace and a cafe is adjacent for refreshments.
No prior experience is required and you can wear whatever you are comfortable in (layers are recommended as the game is played outside). Facilitator Beck from The Clare Project will be present.
Getting there:
The nearest bus stop is Norfolk Square (buses 1, 2, 5, 5A, 5B, 6, 25, 46, 49, 71, 71A and 700). There is bicycle and Beryl bike parking as well as pay-and-display car/motorcycle parking very close by.
