ListenQueer - Walking Tour and App Launch

ListenQueer is a personal tour guide through the rich history of LGBTQIA+ life, bringing to life forgotten people. Developed by Dr Lena Mattheis and Prof Chris Mounsey, the app is designed to be accessible and takes users in the footsteps of our queer, trans and nonbinary forebears, mapping their paths onto present-day spaces. We can’t wait to share the app at this special launch event at Queer Britain.

1pm - Meet outside Gay's The Word bookstore, bring headphones, and experience the walking tour that guides you towards Queer Britain Museum
2pm - Meet Dr Lena Mattheis and Professor Chris Mounsey, as they share the story of how and why they made ListenQueer, with complimentary refreshments
3pm - Explore the galleries of Queer Britian Museum

If you would like to test the newest ListenQueer walking tour, please bring headphones and meet us outside Gay’s The Word at 1pm. The walk will end at 2pm at Queer Britain, where we will offer refreshments and share the story of how and why we made ListenQueer.
