Labours of Love Exhibition - Queer Art Panel
FREE
Join us for a panel discussion co-chaired by Gemma Rolls-Bentley and Ricardo Reveron Blanco, featuring the exhibiting artists of Labours of Love as they share personal stories behind their work. Despite coming from different backgrounds and generations, these artists are connected by a shared commitment to honouring queer history—past, present, and future—especially in the face of those who seek to erase it.
This discussion is an open invitation for the audience to share their own experiences of queer love and community. We'll hear from supporters of the exhibition about how they first fell in love with Queer Art and invite our audience to share, as well. These personal stories help us celebrate and preserve queer culture in all its richness.
We’ve designed this event to be welcoming to a diverse queer audience and welcome you to join us for this special event, supported by @Queer.All.Year at the exhibition made possible by the generous support of Patrick Holmes.
Daria’s game offers a fun and engaging experience for queer families and young attendees, while the archival elements in Emily’s work may resonate with older generations who may have lived through the periods she explores. This is an opportunity for people from all walks of life within the LGBTQIA+ community to come together, share their experiences, and build deeper connections across generations.
