Join us on Wednesday 9th April from 7pm - 9:30pm for an evening of deep insight and critical discussion as we go beyond the headlines to examine the ongoing crises in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This teach-in will feature speakers from London for Sudan, Congolese Action Youth Platform, Genocost, Madaniya and other special guests, with Eljae as our host.
Together, we will uncover the historical and contemporary forces driving conflict, including genocide, imperialism, extractive capitalism, ecocide, and femicide, and their devastating impact on communities. Our speakers will dissect the root causes of these crises and explore the role of global power structures in sustaining violence and exploitation.
More importantly, this event will shine a light on the resilience of local movements and the tangible steps for peacebuilding, human rights, and systemic change. Through panel discussions and collective dialogue, we will explore how to engage in grassroots advocacy, international solidarity efforts, and initiatives aimed at justice and accountability.
This will be a powerful evening of education, reflection, and action. Join us in a space to learn, connect, and contribute to a more just and peaceful future for Sudan, Congo, and beyond.
