Monsters, a queer myth
£7
Monsters, a queer myth in a solo-show by David LeBarron directed by Shanna Beauchamp.
Queer people had our stories ripped away. History rewritten by the str8-patriarchy. Love shamed. Power taken. What if we took back the narrative? Put the queer back in those myths and wrote our own? In his new solo show, David LeBarron tells four myths as they should be heard and known. Monsters, a queer myth, utilizes mask, dance and storytelling. It uses projections and costumes. Directed by Shanna Beauchamp. Winner: Hollywood Fringe Producer's Award
Monsters, a queer myth, is a 57-minute play appropriate for 16 year-olds and up. It has strong queer themes and language/situations that may not be appropriate for some, including sexual abuse, humiliation, drug abuse and reference to hate speech.
David has been in many Fringe Festivals and won multiple awards. Most notably for The Sex Life of Achilles, WINNER Best of Fringe Maui Fringe and Nominated Best of Fringe Hollywood; and his last solo show, The Complete History of Drag in a few Momo, Winner Producer's Award for Excellence.
