Twits ahoy!
April looms but who will be the biggest fool? The competition is stiff.
Brighton’s most chaotic cabaret returns with another night of beautiful and bizarre nonsense. Expect drag, comedy, and practial jokes. You're guaranteed to leave laughing, crying, or walking the plank.
Our motley crew is as follows:
INGA ROCK is Brighton's Lithuanian doll, the winner of The Next Drag Superstar and the angel of your dreams!
DICK DENHAM is a surreal genderqueer comedian and a veteran of Comedy Bloomers and Leicester Square New Act contests.
And we have an extra-special treat for you this month:
PEARL & DEAN will be performing a preview of their stupidly funny show All Aboard! where they promise to take you on an outrageous journey aboard the good ship Watery Queen. Who knows what might happen? Will Jane McDonald turn Marsha's head? What really happened between Peter Pearl and Pot Wash Paul and just what IS the recipe for a "perfect heterosexual marriage"?
And, of course, Drag Idol UK winner, part-time author and occasional sailor FELIX LE FREAK will be weeping on the microphone with her sordid tales of love, lust and loose cannons.
This one is not to be missed!
WHERE, WHEN & HOW?
We’re taking over Tusk Club, downstairs at The Walrus, Brighton, on Friday 4th April. Doors at 7pm, show at 7:30pm sharp. The venue serves food and drinks all evening, so why not make a night of it? The show will feature an interval, giving you time to top up your glass, compose yourself, and question your life choices. Wrap time is 10pm, but the space turns into a club, so stick around if you fancy a dance. It's always a low-stakes affair and we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable.
Tickets are tiered, so the earlier you grab yours, the more you save. Earlybird tickets start at £5 and last-minute entry will be £12. As always, please get in touch if you need an affordable ticket once they've run out. Or if you’re feeling generous, you can buy a pay-it-forward ticket (Kraken) to help support queer cabaret and keep these nights affordable.
Felix & Friends is a night of theatrical mischief, queer joy, and total nonsense. Expect laughs, spectacle, and the occasional cannonball. Audience participation is encouraged in the form of cheers, whoops, and giggles. However, hateful or disruptive behaviour will get you nothing but a swim with the sharks!
I'm positively soiling myself in excitement. Arrr!
