May Payne grew up in rural dorset on a diet of Bob Dylan and Van Morrison. At age 15 she became a niche internet micro-celebrity, gaining a cult following amongst fellow queer emo teens due to her outspoken personality and obsession with music. Now london-based, radical vulnerability still guides her as she shares her innermost thoughts through her vulnerable, emotion-lead alt-folk ballads.
Matilda Cole
Matilda Cole is a 22-year-old English indie-pop singer-songwriter from Brighton. She began releasing music during the 2020 lockdown, building a fan base from her bedroom. Her debut EP, Milk Teeth (2021), explored themes of adolescence and relationships, followed by The High Dive (2022), which showcased her evolving artistry. In 2024, she released the EP Pomegranate, inspired by the Greek myth of Persephone. Matilda cites Lorde's Pure Heroine, Father John Misty, and Hozier as major influences on her music. She is also an original member of Loud LDN, a collective of London-based women and genderqueer musicians.
