This month we're welcoming our cosy clubbers to join for an afternoon of mindful writing with Arushi.
Arushi (They/Them) is a South Asian, queer writer with a deep love for storytelling and self-expression. Their ideal day is spent with a good book and a sunny winter day stroll. They are passionate about constantly learning and expanding their understanding of culture and literature.
What to expect
This workshop invites participants to explore writing as a practice of rest and reflection. We’ll kick things off with a light icebreaker and a quick-fire prompts session to get the creative energy flowing. For the main writing activity, participants will draw prompt chits centered around different sensory experiences, using them as inspiration to craft a short piece—whether fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. We'll wrap up with an open discussion, offering space to share and reflect on what we've written.
What to bring
We’ll have pens and paper available but please bring your favourite writing/recording tools and materials or journal if you have one. Feel free to also bring any snacks or nibbles, comfort/stim items and/or anything that you may need to feel present in the space.
