UK Poetry Slam Champion Tyrone Lewis teams up with Writer and Director Kayla Martell Feldman to bring you PROCESS, a monthly Spoken Word night featuring some of the most exciting acts across the scene.
Spring has well and truly sprung ✨ Join us for our regular open mic (sign up on the door, poets selected at random) plus a headline set from the legendary Hannah Silva and a feature from Process family member Georgie Simson!
Hannah Silva is a writer and performer confronting big ideas through formal innovation and a seriously playful approach to language and technology. Their work spans BBC radio dramas—winning the Tinniswood Award for best script—and two decades of critically acclaimed poetry and performance. Their sound poetry album 'Talk in a bit' was among The Wire's top 25 albums of 2016. Their latest book, My Child, the Algorithm (Footnote Press UK/Softskull Press North America), weaves memoir and fiction through conversations with a toddler and an early open source language model, exploring queer single parenting and love. It was named one of Granta's Books of the Year.
Georgie Simson: Originally from New Zealand, Georgie Simson is an actor, poet and artist based in London. She talks and writes about everything from life and love to rugby and her passion for fine wine. Always a performer, her work tells dramatic stories with an often comedic twist - and the occasional bit of French.
