Consent Beyond the Bedroom: A Workshop for People-Pleasers & Boundary-Setters
With Nicky Wetherall (they/she)
Consent is about so much more than sex - it shapes how we navigate every area of life. If you’ve ever found yourself saying yes when you really meant no, feeling drained from constantly putting others first, or struggling to know what you truly want and need, this workshop is for you.
Many of us are conditioned to prioritise others over ourselves, leading to self-abandonment, resentment, and burnout. We override our own boundaries—sometimes without even realising it. But consent isn’t just about agreeing to something; it’s about understanding who we are doing something for and why, And fully choosing from a place of clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
What you'll learn:
- The foundations of the Wheel of Consent and how it applies beyond intimacy
- How to recognise and trust your Yes, No, and Maybe—in an embodied way
- The impact of people-pleasing and self-abandonment on your wellbeing and relationships
- Why we override our own boundaries—and how to stop
- How consent applies to all relationships: work, friendships, family, and intimacy
- Practical tools to build self-trust, communicate clearly, and honour your choices
Many of us don’t realise when we’re saying yes out of obligation, habit, or fear of disappointing others. This workshop will help you reconnect with your body’s signals, understand the difference between willingness and full-hearted consent, and break free from patterns that no longer serve you and build trust in yourself, and with others.
If you’re ready to set healthier boundaries, deepen your self-awareness, and create more fulfilling relationships, this workshop will give you the tools to start making genuine, empowered choices.
