📅 Friday 9 March 2025
📍 The base of the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth
🎟️ Free entry – booking essential
Join us as we launch ‘Ink & Identity’ – a brand new initiative for queer people in Portsmouth who’ve never felt that traditional book clubs were quite for them. Whether you love reading, struggle to find the time, are a slow reader, or haven’t picked up a book in years, this is a club where you belong.
We’re doing things differently. There’s no pressure to read the whole book, no expectation to be an expert, and we’ll always choose books that are accessible, engaging, and speak to LGBTQ+ lives and stories.
At this special launch event, you’ll get to:
📚 Hear all about the Book Club and how to join in
🗣️ Meet the facilitators and hear honest reflections about what it means to love (and sometimes hate) reading
✨ Be inspired by Sunday Times bestselling author Sacha Coward, whose new book Queer as Folklore will be our very first club read!
🎁 Grab a free copy of Queer as Folklore (limited supply available on the night)
Expect a relaxed, inclusive evening with more guest speakers to be announced, and a chance to connect with other LGBTQ+ people across the city.
Whether you're a lifelong reader or just curious, this is your invitation to come along, find out more, and maybe discover a new love for stories.
