Come along to The Roses Of Elagabalus for a laid back evening of life drawing and drinks in this one-of-a-kind queer venue.
Championing and delighting in the multifaceted beauty of queer bodies, this life drawing class is for the community, allowing us a space to gather, create, and revel in each other's transcendental existence.
- Session starts at 7pm - please come 10 minutes early to choose a seat in the beautiful cabaret space & order a drink if you wish
The session is untutored, and while some basic materials (paper, pencils) are provided, we welcome you to bring your own.
Please note - due to the beauty of the space (the crisp white tablecloths! the plush leopard print carpets!) we ask that you use dry materials only (water colour is permitted) - and respect our request that no charcoal is used.
We will have a series of shorter poses, a 25-ish minute break in the middle of the session for you to grab a little liquid lubrication, and some more short poses, working our way up to x2 15 min poses at the end.
This is a relaxed session - if at any point you'd like to have a little break or a chat you are more than welcome to. Food and drinks are available to order to your table during or after the session, and you are welcome to linger after 9pm for an impromptu salon with the other artists and eat and drink to your heart's content.
