🌺🪩 One Monday a month at Walthamstow Trades Hall 🪩🌺
With a huge lovely dance floor, AC, a stage, and a disco ball - we’re so excited to be running monthly classes and dance socials at the Trades Hall! 🥰
We’re now able to offer two classes per night (!!)
- 7–8pm: Salsa classes at different levels and styles or other Afro-Latin styles like Bachata.
- 8–9pm: A beginners-friendly Salsa class every time.
🎟️ Your ticket includes both classes, just make sure to check what we’ve got on each month, as the 7pm class may occasionally be a higher level. We will always make that clear, but you’re also welcome to give it a try. When you book, let us know what you’re planning to attend, it really helps us keep an eye on capacity.
No need for a ticket for the Dance Social 9–11pm as it's now free 😘
You don't need to bring a dance partner and are very welcome to come alone to these events. We switch partners throughout the classes and will support you in meeting new ppl.
If you are coming with a friend, boo or date and want to stick together, just let us know at the start of the class and we can facilitate that.
🌺 7–8pm | Improvers Level Cross Body Salsa
For dancers who’ve been coming to our courses, learning with us since the early days, learning elsewhere, or dancing casually for a little while.
Details on class content and teachers will be announced soon!
If you’re unsure whether it’s the right level, feel free to come early, give it a go, or just watch. Beginners are very welcome to observe and have a lil casual go.
🌺 8–9pm | Beginners Level Cross Body Salsa
Designed for total beginners, those building confidence, or more experienced dancers wanting to try a new role.
We’ll cover rhythm, basic footwork, and partner work (you’ll let us know if you want to Lead or Follow).
This class is less about technique and more about feeling the music, connecting with dance partners and learning how to dance socially.
🌺 9–11pm | All Levels Salsa Dance Social
Our socials are open to all, which is why we start with classes!
We’ll be actively supporting the social dance space, helping you meet new people and feel confident dancing. In the first hour, Guardian Dancers from the community will be around specifically to dance with newcomers and beginners.
We’ll be playing straight-up Salsa all night for this one.
On nights when we teach other Afro-Latin styles, expect a mix: around 60% Salsa / 40% other styles.
While we mostly teach Cross Body Salsa, all styles are welcome. As you gain experience, you’ll notice how different styles suit different kinds of music, and we’re planning to bring in beginner classes in styles like Cali and Cuban Salsa soon too.
🌺 Welfare & Accessibility
Along with Teachers and Guardian Dancers, there’ll be a Host floating around to support you and help make the space comfy and welcoming.
We’re always working to make our events safer and more inclusive. Please reach out if you have access needs or anything you’d like us to know.
🌺 Tickets
Class capacity is limited and you must book online.
(If that’s not possible for you, get in touch, or speak to us at the start of the night, and we’ll work something out.)
