And a little sneak peek of our acts:
DJ Ria Andrews is an Edinburgh based DJ and multi-hyphenate artist. A resident of Femmergy and having a monthly show on EHFM, that spotlights Caribbean music and mixes Black Diasporic genres she is known for her mixes that feature groovy riddims, heavy on percussion and catchy basslines. Think Soca, Amapiano, Baile Funk and fun Pop/House edits - if it’s a genre that you can move your waist to, guarantee she’s playing it.
Our Host, BUTCH CA$HIDY is your favourite handsome himbo hunk here to deliver you your daily recommended serving of organic, ethically sourced beef. Butch's performances are packed full with muscles, energy, and… more muscles. Prepare to sigh, swoon, and be swept off your feet by Edinburgh’s most dashing drag king! Thirsty for more Butch? You can catch him hosting Saffron Cherry (@saffron.cherry), an all-QPOC cabaret every other month at Paradise Palms.
We believe Pride should remain free both in cost and speech. We do not wish to create or contribute to any activity which would equate to “pink washing” (the promotion of the LGBT+ friendliness of a corporate or political entity in an attempt to downplay or soften aspects of it considered negative).
In order to make Porty Pride more accessible to those on a low income but still community-funded, we use a sliding scale ticket price for our events. You can choose what you pay based on your circumstances – you won’t be asked for any proof/ID. We just ask that you are honest!
