re-root explores the link between migration, belonging & land ancestry / ownership
in the world torn by feelings of alienation & fear of otherness we wonder how has the imperialist myth-making altered our ideas on ‘roots’ whilst building artificial walls in our relationship to the natural world and each other
braiding perspectives & experiences of displaced and historically marginalised people we will explore how to re-root - reclaim, redefine & recreate our connection to land, heritage and ancestry
showcasing ritual performances to transcend the boundaries of the individual experience whilst finding our common ground in music & movement
we will try to plant ourselves again
