Manifest/o zine workshop with Linnea Maertens and SL Grange. Explore manifestos from historical movements and activist groups, write your own manifesto with poet and part-time hedge-witch SL Grange, then make it manifest in zine form guided by illustrator and zine expert Linnea.
SL Grange is a poet and queer historian specialising in improvisatory practices and DIY rituals for creative processes. Their poem Erce Erce Erce Eorþan Modor was published in Poetry Wales Winter 2023 issue, and they won the Poetry Wales pamphlet competition with their pamphlet Bodies and Other Haunted Houses, published by Seren Books in 2021. Their monologue A Note to Mary Frith, commissioned by Shakespeare's Globe for the Notes to the Forgotten She-Wolves series, 2020, is soon to be published in the forthcoming Gender on the Transnational Early Modern Stage, Then and Now: A Performance as Research Approach (University of Toronto Press, 2025).
Linnea Maertens is a trans-disciplinary creative researcher and practitioner working in the heritage and entertainment industries. They have run zine making workshops for institutions like the Royal School of Needlework, the National Maritime Museum, Thames Discovery Programme and Triangle LGBTQ+ Cultural Center.
These workshops are supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, there is always a waiting list so if you cannot attend please cancel your ticket so someone else can.
