LGBTQIA+ Writing Workshop with Fran Lock
Sunday 22nd June 2pm - 4pm
Arrive 1.45, we start promptly at 2pm
This workshop is Pay What You Can, we suggest £3-£8 as this will help us cover some costs.
This workshop will focus on writing ferally, on and through the queer animal o/Other. Expect hyenas, slugs, hares and bears, oh my! The aim is to produce strange new writing, accessing our inner animal, and unleashing it onto the space of the page.
Fran Lock is the author of numerous pamphlets and fifteen poetry collections, including Hyena! (Poetry Bus Press, 2023), shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize 2023 and the PEN Heaney Prize 2024. Vulgar Errors/ Feral Subjects, a collection of lyric essays exploring feral subjectivity through the lens of the medieval bestiary was published by Out-Spoken Press in 2023. Fran lives between Cambridge and Kent with Luna Moona Petrescu, her sassy American bully.
These workshops are supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, there is always a waiting list so if you cannot attend please cancel your ticket so someone else can.
