Step into a specially curated Southside Ghost Signs walking tour, created for the Govanhill International Festival as part of an ongoing heritage project that tracks, researches and archives Glasgow’s fast-disappearing painted signs.
These fading traces - remnants of businesses long gone - offer a unique window into the economic, architectural, social and cultural history of the city. This Southside route showcases some of the incredible stories we’ve uncovered - stories of work, migration, community and change etched into the city’s walls.
Meeting point: The Deep End, 21 Nithsdale Street
*No Age restriction. The tour includes street crossing and uneven surfaces.
