The Barberfellas are huffing and puffing right back onto the stage with a show that promises to make your heads spin!
Join us on Saturday 4 October at the Two Brewers in Clapham for some fierce close-harmony a capella stylings of songs from artists such as Troye Sivan, The Carpenters, Cole Porter, George Michael and more!
We’ll be joined by not one, but TWO special guests!
The Bleeding Obvious, the magnificent one-woman cabaret dubbed “the queer Victoria Wood" by the Yorkshire Evening Post. Ecky thump!
Transposers, the UK's first all-trans barbershop quartet! They delight in putting queer comedy spins on classic barbershop songs (such as 6’3’’ eyes of green, about falling in love with a gorgeous geeky trans gal) as well as singing modern classics such as Wake me up before you go go. They recently competed in the national barbershop competition and have been taking the world by storm.
Barberfellas is an LGBTQ+ barbershop group based in London who’ve been singing together since 2010. In recent years they have performed as far afield as Helsinki, Mumbai, Reykjavik, Bologna and Walthamstow.
Quotes from our fans:
“Wow, I can’t believe they’re still going?”
“I really liked the song where they played the kazoos”
“The bartender at their last gig was cute”
At this concert, a portion of the proceeds will go to TransActual, a charity which offers facts about trans rights, UK law, NHS healthcare and transphobia. You can find out more about them here: https://transactual.org.uk/
