In this hands-on workshop, participants will build small field transmitters for live audio streaming. They’ll also try out a new mobile transmitter kit and listen back to the recordings. The session explores how sound can support creative and activist projects. It is suitable for all ages and experience levels.
👤About the facilitators:
Soundcamp is an artist cooperative making ecological activist radio. They create live broadcasts from protests and actions, such as Radio With Palestine, and run workshops that connect sound, art, and activism. Their work appears locally and more widely, including via an online soundmap, in collaboration with Locus Sonus and the Acoustic Commons network.
🌞This workshop is part of Skaped's Artivism Festival :
Our Artivism Festival is back for another energising meeting of art and activism!
Join us at St. Margaret’s House for a vibrant gathering of community, connection, and collective action. This is a space to explore how we can stay grounded and joyful in the midst of a crumbling empire.
Expect great food, hands-on workshops, market stalls, and community organisations offering guidance and information. In the evening, sit back and enjoy a diverse panel of artists and activists alongside dynamic performances.
Whether you’re new to artivism or deeply rooted in it, this festival is about feeling resourced, inspired, and connected, not just for the day, but for the work ahead.
