Week two of Spader For Perverts 101 brings a tragically overlooked treat to our screen from VHS!
White Palace (1990) places James Spader as a young yuppie opposite an older, working class dreamboat Susan Sarandon who derails his life in ways many dream about when they meet over the counter of her fast food job.
What begins as a tale of age gap romance too scandalous to last gives way to a surprisingly deft examination of class differences, and a sweet, winning kind of romance that recalls the likes of Moonstruck.
