Cake Sit is an unapologetically queer event celebrating joy, decadence, self-expression, silliness, sensuality, exploration, resistance and shamelessness
Please join us for a night of messiness and fun, Friday 10th October, upstairs at The Old Nun's Head Pub
You are invited to watch performers sit on, dance around, cover themselves with, sing to, eat, or interact with a cake in any way they wish. Performers are provided with a cake and a supportive audience and they EAT IT UP EVERY TIME!
If you are reading this and thinking, “I wanna do that!” the form to sign up to perform is here. All performers get free entry, a drink ticket, tips and access to the drag room <3
Accessibility: The venue is up a flight of stairs. Please message on Instagram if we can help with your access needs
Community Guidelines:
We want to remind all attendees that any type of behaviour considered to be non consensual i.e., uninvited touching, intrusive staring, being a creep in any way (sexual or non sexual) will not be tolerated and you will be instantly removed from the venue
We will not tolerate any form of racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism, discrimination, misogyny, entitlement, aggression, or general shitty behaviour
This is an intentionally queer space for queer people to express themselves and connect safely. This is a night dedicated to supporting and affirming the queer community
If you do not identify as part of the queer community, please reflect on your reasons for attending:
- Intention: Are you here to genuinely support the queer community?
- Respect: Are you committed to respecting the experiences and boundaries of queer individuals?
Please take time to consider these guidelines before attending <3
