Friendly & Relaxed Queer Life Drawing Sessions in Macclesfield
No experience is required - just bring your creativity! This is a super relaxed session to provide a safe space for queer people to get creative, there's no pressure to be the best at life drawing or even to have done it before, just come along and have a go!
What You’ll Receive:
Schedule:
- Arrival: 7:50 PM - 8 PM
- Session Start: 8 PM
Session End: 9:30 PM
Session Breakdown:
- Warm-up: Short 2/ 5 minute poses to warm up (8 PM - 8:15 PM)
- First Half: Shorter poses ranging between 10/15 minutes each (8:15 PM - 8:45 PM)
- Break: 15 minute break to stretch, get a free tea or coffee and choose new supplies (8:45 PM - 9 PM)
- Second Half: We will do a longer 20 minute pose in this half (9 PM - 9:20 PM)
- Social: Optional time to have a look at each others work and chat! (9:20 PM - 9:30 PM)
Important Info:
- The Space: The session will take place in a large room in the Wellbeing Space
- Access: The space is accessed via a set of stairs, unfortunately there is no lift access
- Toilets: There are toilets available for use during the session
- Refreshments: There are free tea and coffee available too!
Meet Your Host: Ben Saunders (he/him)
Ben Saunders is a queer, trans masc illustrator and ceramicist based in Manchester. His work focuses on queer and trans bodies and he aims through his work to provide a space to encourage people to feel safe to express their sexuality and love for their body without fear of fetishization.
Ben has been running queer and trans specific life drawing sessions in Manchester for a number of years in a range of venues and he always aims to prioritise creating a relaxing, welcoming and friendly queer safe space to allow you to take time for yourself in a friendly, supportive environment.
