***Line-up change ***
Unfortunately Yama Warashi is no longer able to make it over to the UK for this show. We have two wonderful acts in Evelyn Gray and Ted Mair joining the lineup which remains a bumper night of beautiful music. Hopefully we will welcome Yama Warashi over in the near future!
Bowl Cut is proud and excited to present an evening with Ayu Okakita, Evelyn Gray, The Sleeves and Ted Mair!
This is going to be a magical evening as we return to our beloved Ivy House for an evening filled with beauty and wonder.
Ayu Okakita is an musician from Osaka, Japan. Her songs delicately flit between ambient, folk and pop. She self-produced her 2023 record Grow, Grow.
Intricate and beautiful Evelyn Gray's music is truly captivating. You may know them from the incredible Tapir!, they have a fantastic album on Bandcamp called ‘I wanted to put the sun in the sky so here it is!’, give it a listen here.
The Sleeves are the improvising duo Jack Cooper and Tara Cunningham, best known as members of versatile guitar band Modern Nature. In January 2025 they released their debut album Pond Life, a warm and inquisitive exploration of the guitar itself.
Ted Mair is no stranger to Bowl Cut, or indeed The Ivy House, having played our all-dayer back in June with his band Sculpture Park. This time Ted flys alone but expect similarly expertly crafted songs.
This show is going to be one for the ages, don't sleep on it!
