Copies of NEON MANILA, as well as Troy's other books, will be available for sale on the night.
Troy Cabida
Troy Cabida is the author of Neon Manila (2025), a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. His other works include War Dove (2020), Symmetric of Bone (2024), and Two Poems (2025). He works as a library assistant for the National Poetry Library and co-editor for fourteen poems.
Neimo Askar
Neimo Askar is a British-Somali poet, writer, producer and founder of open mic night Poetry and Shaah. Neimo’s work explores the intersections of faith, disability and belonging. Neimo is currently working on a body of work.
Sophia Georghiou
Sophia Georghiou has been published in The Journal of Creative Writing Research and various poetry journals such as Poetry London, Lineage, the6ress and others. Her poetry was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and longlisted for the Pat Kavanagh Prize. Her forthcoming collection Gloria Trillo won the 2025 Eric Gregory Award.
Clara-Læïla Laudette
Clara-Læïla Laudette is a writer, journalist and facilitator. She won Magma Judge’s Prize, placed third in the Poetry London Prize and was shortlisted for the Oxford Poetry Prize, Aesthetica Creative Writing Award, and longlisted for the National Poetry Competition. Her poems are forthcoming or have appeared in Poetry Review, Propel, Beloit Poetry Journal, fourteen poems, Ink Sweat & Tears and Wet Grain, among others.
Nina Mingya Powles
Nina Mingya Powles is a writer and poet from Aotearoa New Zealand, currently based in the UK. She is the author of several books of poetry and creative non-fiction including In the Hollow of the Wave (2025), Magnolia 木蘭 (2020) and Small Bodies of Water (2021). She writes a monthly substack on food and memory, titled Crispy Noodles.
Helen Bowell
Helen Bowell is a poet, producer and editor. Her debut pamphlet The Barman (Bad Betty Press, 2022) was a Poetry Book Society Choice. Her poems, reviews and translations have been published in bath magg, Poetry London, The Poetry Review and elsewhere. She co-directs Dead [Women] Poets Society and ran Bi+ Lines, editing the first anthology of bi+ poets with fourteen poems in 2023. She edited The Poetry Society's Young Poets Network for six years, produced the Poetry Translation Centre's 20th birthday programme of events in 2024, and now works as Arvon's Learning Manager and co-editor for fourteen poems.
