This winter settle in for live readings of classic short stories and excerpts of novels. Held in the cosy backroom of The Bees Mouth, sink into armchairs, sofas and stools to listen live, from 6.45-8.15.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before to get a drink, and find a comfy place to sit.
All ticket sales will go directly to TransActual, a trans led and run advocacy, education and empowerment organisation. This is their website - https://transactual.org.uk
On October 27th we'll be reading-
'The Goblin Market' by Christina Rossetti
A short horror story
An extract from ‘Frankenstein’ by Mary Shelley
While there's no open fire, you're welcome to bring your own cushions and blankets to stay cosy, and the bar will be selling hot chocolate for you to enjoy while you listen. You're welcome to discuss the pieces in the interval, but you won't be asked to talk about the work if you don't want to. This is a place to relax, forget about the outside world, and listen to something you might not have heard before.
Ticket confirmation will include links to the work and exact pages, if you would like to download the work and read along.
CONTENT WARNINGS: If you have any concerns about content we recommend either contacting us before or after purchase and we will provide any warnings for each piece. If you buy a ticket and decide you don't want to attend due to the content, we will refund the donation up to 1 day before the event.
