After witnessing the heartbreaking damage Hurricane Melissa has brought upon the Caribbean islands, we’ve decided to come together and host a special fundraiser weekend, raising both monetary and essential item donations to support those affected.
Across the weekend, you’ll have the chance to join 6 completely different workshops, from pole to chair to strip and more! All taught by some of Manchester’s finest instructors: Destiny (@destiiny_x), Renne (@tirenne_), Bliss (@s_exisentialbliss), Spice (@spiicyprincessa), Médéa (@medeapoledance), Rosey Laid (@Rosey_laid).
To round off the weekend, we’ll be hosting a Pole Jam celebrating Caribbean music and culture! Expect the best of dancehall, soca, reggae and more as we move, connect and show love for some of the most influential islands in the western world.
We know times are tough, so we’ve chosen a ‘Pay What You Can’ ticketing system with a minimum of £15 per workshop and £5 per jam ticket. If you’d like to contribute more, that option will be available and deeply appreciated.
100% of proceeds will go directly to verified, on-the-ground organisations providing vital relief. We’ll also be collecting donations of essential items to send via a local Manchester drop-off point.
Requested items:
- Nappies
- Sanitary products
- Medical supplies (bandages, first aid items, etc.)
- Rice
- Pasta
- Tinned goods (vegetables, beans, peas, corned beef, etc.)
- Baby food
- Bottled water
Now is the time to come together, move with purpose and show your support! For any questions, please email destinyblackpole@outlook.com and I’ll be happy to help
