To mark Transgender Day of Remembrance, TRANS VOICES invite you to a special one-off vocal sound bath and live performance.
REMEMBRANCE IN SOUND
The evening will kick off with our signature improvisational sound bath practice, which incorporates guided meditation, breath work, and audience participation.
Later on, we will present original compositions exploring themes of memory, self-determination, and dis/connection with the body.
ABOUT TRANS VOICES
Founded by trans+ artists Ilā Kamalagharan and Coda Nicolaeff, TRANS VOICES blends choral tradition, experimental technique, ambient sound, and emerging technologies.
We have collaborated with Kesha, Olly Alexander, HAAi and Jon Hopkins, and performed at Tate Britain, Kew Gardens, and the Royal Opera House, alongside commissions including a Guardian documentary and Barbican installation.
HACKNEY PRIDE365
Remembrance in Sound is made possible with funding from Hackney Council through the HACKNEY PRIDE365 programme of events and activities that support, celebrate and platform Hackney’s LGBTQIA+ communities, artists and allies through cultural activities and events.
