Liverpool Queer Collective's flagship regular event, Queer Hub is a sober space hosted at quirky and queer-friendly venues.
Queer Hub offers the LGBTQ+ community a chance to socialise without loud music or booze.
A friendly welcome guaranteed. Come as you are.
For our August social, we’re getting out in the fresh air with a summer party.
Everton Community Garden is a lovely space filled with flowers, fruits and vegetables, managed by Friends of Everton Park. There is a nice space to socialise outdoors as well as some indoor space (just in case the weather isn’t perfect).
Activities wise, we’ll be planting seeds to take home with you, offering just-for-fun tarot readings and other games.
We’ll provide a delicious (soft) drink on arrival and some nice vegan-friendly snacks. We’re also asking that folks get involved with a bring and share lunch.*
Please dress for the weather!
Pay What You Can
What you get when you pay for your ticket to our August Queer Hub:
> 3 hours worth of relaxed and fun social time in a quirky space;
> Complimentary drinks and snacks;
> Deeper connection to the LGBTQ+ community in Liverpool;
> Your ticket supports the continued work of Liverpool Queer Collective.
Liverpool Queer Collective does not receive funding to run these events and all of our work is done by volunteers. Each Queer Hub costs us between £75 - £200 to run. Please help us to continue our work by paying what you can for your ticket.
Getting there
Everton Community Garden is less than a mile fro Liverpool City Centre. It is just off numerous bus routes from Queen Square Bus Station including 47 / 300 / 310 / X2 and journey is between 10 - 20 minutes.
A mini-cab from the city centre would cost around £5.
If you want to stretch your legs, we’re organising a walking bus, leaving from the front steps outside Liverpool Lime Street at 12:45. The walk is around 20 minutes.
Access
The garden has ground access and wide paths. There is a toilet on the ground floor but it does not have a full range of handles. We do our best to be as inclusive as possible. If you have any access needs or special requests don't hesitate to get in touch via hello@liverpoolqueercollective.co.uk.
* Queer Hub is a sober space, please do not bring alcoholic drinks to this event.
