R.U is taking over the Karaoke Hole in Dalston and clearing the shelves of alcohol and offering an assortment of alcohol free drinks or if you’re feeling peckish grab a slice of New York Pizza from upstairs and bring it down for a cheeky nibble. Come and have a play- let’s have a laugh and connect! This event is for all genders and all sexualities- you just gotta be sober beb!
Rhys “I’ve been sober for a couple of years now, I’m in the rooms, I go to mindfulness retreats and talking groups and all sorts of events and I want to offer my own too. I also wanted to try in create a fun kind of meeting point for this different communites within the sober community. I’ve been a performer and producer of cabaret for the last 10 years and I want to bring some of that magic into the sober world. This night is going to have some drag performance but also serve to allow for that feeling of going out to the club without the dependance on substances. Like with all the R.U. offerings it’s an invitation to co-create something, only this time I’ll be in a wig and running around with my a*se out :P - it should be a laugh! ”
