Asylum Seekers Connection – LGBTQ+ Community Meet-Up (February)

Worcester LGBT (Asylum • Support • Network) invites you to our second Asylum Seekers Connection event of the year, taking place on Tuesday, 3 February 2025.

This event is exclusively for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. Worcester LGBT supports only LGBTQ+ individuals, and this community space is created by and for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. This ensures that everyone attending is welcomed into a safe, inclusive, and understanding environment.

To help cover venue hire, refreshments, and community activities, we kindly ask for a minimum donation of £2 from those who are able to contribute. No one will ever be turned away if they are unable to donate.

At this event, you can expect:
- A welcoming social space
- Light refreshments
- The opportunity to connect with others on a similar journey
- Information about upcoming WLGBT activities
- Optional attendance logging for those who wish to record community engagement

A ticket alone is not proof of attendance. WLGBT records attendance only through our internal verification system at the event itself.

Age restriction: No age limit. LGBTQ+ asylum seekers welcome. Under 18s should attend with a trusted adult.

Our events are community spaces created primarily for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers.
Attendance may be recorded for those who request community engagement verification.
Photography or video recording is not permitted without explicit consent.
WLGBT does not provide legal or immigration advice.
WLGBT reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone whose behaviour compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.
By attending, you agree to respect the privacy and dignity of all participants.
This event is exclusively for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. WLGBT reserves the right to ask anyone who does not meet this criteria to leave.
All attendees must behave respectfully towards others. Abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Everything shared at the event must be kept confidential. Attendees must not disclose personal information about any other participant.
No photos or videos may be taken without explicit consent from everyone identifiable in the image.
A ticket alone is not proof of attending WLGBT events. Attendance is only verified through WLGBT’s internal system at the event itself.
WLGBT reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person whose behaviour raises safeguarding concerns or compromises the safety of others.
Donations are voluntary. A minimum £2 donation is requested, but no one will be turned away for inability to contribute.
WLGBT provides community support only and does not offer immigration, asylum, or legal advice at any event.
Attendees must follow all instructions given by WLGBT volunteers regarding health and safety during the event.
Attendees with accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact WLGBT in advance so reasonable adjustments can be explored.
This is a sober community event. Alcohol and recreational drugs are not permitted.
Attendees must respect personal boundaries. Any form of unwanted physical contact is strictly prohibited.
WLGBT reserves the right to limit entry after the event has been underway for a significant period.
Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings. WLGBT is not liable for loss or damage.
