An introduction to finding your voice as a poet. No previous experience needed - just an openness to explore and connect with others. Molly will guide participants through creative writing exercises and prompts for poetry writing.
Molly Walker is a queer Poet, Actor and Theatre-maker from East London. Her passion for storytelling and performance has led her to share her poetry with audiences all across the world, including Glastonbury Festival, The Roundhouse, The National Theatre, The Barbican, Selman Marrakesh, Apples & Snakes and most recently, she was the supporting poet for Mike Garry.
Her poetry uses a comedic lens to explore themes of queerness, class, identity and self-discovery. Her debut solo show 'Wild, actually’ previewed at The Pleasance new writing season as was described as "simply incredible. With the confidence of a stand-up comedian and with the eloquence of a poet, Walker tells a very British story” - The Reviews Hub.
Molly is also the Artistic Director of Common Ground, a collective for creatives to connect, collaborate and workshop new-writing.
