Studded Leather Workshop with Emily Witham
Saturday 21 February, 11am–1pm
Join artist Emily Witham to learn how to attach metal rivets to leather, creating a studded patch that spells out a 3-5 letter word of your choosing. Thankfully, our queer lexicon offers many concisely spelt profanities and terms of endearment - think DYKE, FUCK, DADDY, POOF, FAG, LEZ, etc.
Whatever you choose, you’ll walk away with a finished studded patch that can be sewn onto clothing or displayed as an artwork. To see examples of what previous participants have created click this link.
All tools and materials are provided. The workshop will use responsibly sourced cowhide leather.
Please note: studs will be hammered by hand, so this is a noisy workshop. Feel free to bring ear defenders
