PROGRAMME (subject to change)
Draíocht
Laoise Corrigan (they/them) - flute + whistle
Daíre (they/them) - keyboard
Laoise and Dáire are both originally from Belfast, but met in London and connected over a shared love of Irish folk music. They enjoy composing and arranging folk tunes, exploring different aspects of harmony and rhythm. With various influences from the world of folk music and beyond, they are particularly interested in fusion and in reimagining the tradition that they grew up with.
Flautist Laoise Corrigan is a third-year undergraduate studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Laoise grew up in Belfast and still performs there regularly. In particular, they enjoy working with Belfast based Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble after being their featured young artist for the 2024/2025 season and as a guest with alt rock band LIR. Laoise especially enjoys exploring music written by Irish composers, most recently performing a flute and tape work by Donnacha Dennehy as part of a spotlight concert at Guildhall School.
Dáire is a singer-songwriter and producer, whose work draws on pop, folk, and electronica. They work regularly with folk tunes and materials in their writing, and are particularly interested in folk vocal stylings, a focus for their current project, Matthew Stopline. They are currently completing a Masters in Electronic Music at Guildhall, and perform on keyboards with groups including Defender and Shagfoal.

Vermilion ft. Ally London
Oran Johnson (he/him) – electric guitar
Jonty Lefroy Watt (he/him) – electro-acoustic guitar, piano
Ally London (she/her) – soprano
Vermilion is a new ensemble formed by composers and multi-instrumentalists Oran Johnson and Jonty Lefroy Watt. They both grew up in Shropshire but met at the Royal Academy of Music, where they bonded over their shared desire to create music that combines their classical training with their rock and pop influences. Vermilion writes and performs music that features glitchy beats, guitar riffs, and introspective atmospheres, and they are delighted to be making their debut at Small Room Arts.
Ally London is a genre-defying singer-songwriter and soprano whose work moves fluidly between classical and contemporary pop. Equally at home in opera houses and indie venues, she blends classical training with emotionally raw songwriting to create music that is both powerful and intimate. Her performances have spanned international classical tours, renowned music festivals, and alternative showcases, reflecting a career built on artistic versatility.
