Posey Mehta is a submissive and a masochist. And they are asking for things they have no legal right to ask for. You must decide whether to give them what they want, even if that means breaking the law.
In this powerful work-in-progress protest against the Spanner ruling and the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, Mehta submits their body to the audience and asks them to hurt it. What follows is a surprisingly tender, joyful, and wholesome dismantling of so many of the tired stereotypes that exist around kink.
Following in the tradition of--but ultimately subverting--Marina Abramovic's Rhythm 0 and Yoko Ono's Cut Piece, this bold new piece of participatory performance art offers a window into a world where violence isn't cruelty, but care.

About Posey:
Posey is an award-winning alternative comedy and cabaret performer, blending drag, character comedy, and clown. In 2022, their comedy debut, ‘I Am Not A Gorilla,’ racked up multiple 5 star reviews to become one of Ed Fringe's highest reviewed shows (British Comedy Guide), and transferred to the Pleasance, Islington and Soho Theatre.
As their loud-mouthed, cigarette-stained drag alterego, Mitzi Fitz, they won the K Factor Season 2 and run ‘Big Fat Cabaret,’ London's only (and therefore best!) fat-centric cabaret, which has seen sell-out shows across London and Ed Fringe and is now a regular fixture in the Main Space at the Pleasance, Islington.
They directed Rosa Garland’s award-winning ‘Primal Bog,’ are a member of Soho Theatre's comedy D&D improv show ‘Hot Singles In Your Area Play D&D,’ and generally enjoy maintaining a very tonally dissonant creative career. They also work as a safeguarder in kink and sex+ spaces across London, have given workshops on self-advocacy for fellow subs, and are training to become a psychotherapist.
