Spend Valentine's celebrating a different kind of love: our devotion to our new favourite fictional characters, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov from Heated Rivalry!
THE EVENT
This is a friendly, inclusive, and s-x-positive online support group where fans of the Canadian TV series Heated Rivalry can come together to talk about everything we love and obsess over about the show, and what it’s reflected in our own lives and relationships.
The event will take place over two hours on Zoom, and you can expect:
- curated discussion prompts
- invitations to reflect and share (always optional)
- an opportunity to engage in deep, meaningful discussion about the show
- connecting with fellow fans!
For now, this is intended as a one-off event, but I would happily organise episodic support groups if folx want more time to delve into the show in more detail.

THE ORGANISER
My name is Laurie Farrugia and I am a TV Story Producer and a Creative Coach. I have hosted and facilitated dozens of creative workshops and events where folx can come together and engage in deep discussion and can meaningful connections.
In addition to my extensive professional experience in TV drama and comedy, I am also a huge TV fan, and it feels like I have waited forever for a love story like Shane and Ilya’s.
So organising this event felt like a no brainer!
THE ETHOS & RULES FOR THE SPACE:
- This is an unapologetically inclusive event where I want to cultivate acceptance and vulnerability. I have a zero tolerance policy for any form of discrimination or harassment, including racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism, fatphobia, sizeism, or ageism.
I'm fostering a warm, friendly, relaxed environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing and talking. Community is built out of mutual care. I want to encourage you to listen to others with care and attention, and to let their experience and opinion of the show exist without trying to change them.
