FABIO LEZONLI
First there was man. Then there was Fabio Lezonli.
Fabio Takes us on a journey through his mind, his lore that many of the East London Queer scene have come to know him for and answers the question “what if a man with the confidence and talent levels of Tommy Wiseau made a one man show?”.
50% screaming, 50% the worm, 100% unhinged.
Since bursting onto the scene at the beginning of 2023, Fabio Lezonli has left his mark upon thousands of unsuspecting audience members. Known for his crowd work, comedy skills and unhinged nature, you may have already this multi award winning drag king in the 2023 “Man Up” Final, “NADC 4.0” semi-final, “Top of the Slops” Final, or just round the corner scaring the neighbours.
KATE CHEKA
The Last Funny Woman WIP
Last year Kate attempted to save the world or as The Guardian put it... 'political comedy may yet have found its new messiah.' Now she thinks perhaps it is time to burn it all down. Everything is falling apart. What does it mean to be a woman (and a feminist) in the midst of an apocalypse? Expect stories about the farmer she could have married, an awards ceremony after party, appearing on BBC Radio 4 and Berlin STI tests interspersed with razor sharp political comedy on colonialism and the rise of fascism. ‘A skillful mix of raunchy, raconteurial energy and cutting social commentary, which seems to reflect the delicate modern balancing act of fighting the good fight whilst having a bloody good time before the whole thing goes up in flames’ (European Comedy Review)
Kate Cheka is an artist, stand-up comedian and writer who has performed in over ten countries across four continents. The 2023 Funny Women Award winner her debut sold out Edinburgh show received critical acclaim and went on to a Soho Theatre run. She was also nominated for the 2025 DIVA Magazine Queer comedian of the year award and the Chortle 2024 Best Newcomer award. As heard on The Guilty Feminist podcast, and Radio 4's The News Quiz and The Matt Forde Focus Group. Comedy with a unique blend of joy and disdain or as The Guardian said 'political comedy may yet have found its new messiah.'
